A Good Deal!

It was a good deal in 1963. An 

elderly woman’s fixer upper, a

great deal both as to the price

and for a young man’s love of

carpentry - of mending houses

on the weekends or after work 

A good deal for the growing family

raised there. For friendships made,

for beauty blooming from his hands

as he whistled in his workshop, or

in his garden and as he touched

the lives of all the folks he met

Another good deal in 2010 and

many others in between were

put back together, rehabbed, 

providing warm homes where

tired, broken downs had been

This man was truly a good deal!

who left behind much love

and beauty in this world

and with his passing

 is most sorely

missed.
