APRIL SNOW SHOWERS

I do love Springtime.  

The anticipation of warmth

and flowers blooming, of the

smell of lilacs wafting over me

as I sit out back and soak in hope

for long hot summer hammock days.

I do not love mid-April snow

freezing promised daffodils,

hiding the sun, prolonging

winter cold. Holding back

longed for tulips and

gardens eager to
